"Plenty of people miss their share of happiness, not because they never found it, but because they didn't stop to enjoy it."
William Feather

Today, when this quote found me, I was reminded of truth. The truth is that we choose to incarnate, specifically to experience joy. Why, then, would I choose to focus on anything that does not serve that purpose? I will not. When I am tempted to worry or fret, I will remember that if I am not in joy, I am not fulfilling my purpose here on this plane. My sole purpose is to watch my daughter's beautiful face and join her in her laughter. My sole purpose is to play games with my husband and enjoy the pleasure on his face when he beats me. My sole purpose is to have conversations with my friends that entice me to say, "Oh, wow! That's funny."
Your sole purpose in this life is to experience joy. It can be found in the face of a loved one. Nature is overflowing with joy-inducing stimuli. Just this morning, I saw a flower that I'd never seen before on my way home. When I ride the train into St. Louis, there is nothing more beautiful than the trees that surround the tracks. Unless, of course, I get to see a deer grazing or puppies playing in a backyard.
Create some joy in your life and put your laser focus there.
